The Christmas Story in Felt

It's so easy, isn't it? Gifts, food, parties, coffee meet ups, they can all seen endless not to mention expensive!

At this time of year, I'm always reminded of the True Christmas Story, how it all began and its importance as a Christian Feast Day rather than a day or season of excesses.

My nativity die cuts along with my Bauble Kits help keep me grounded. As I cut them out to make up your orders, they always jog my memory about what December the 25th is all about and for me it's not just the Christmas Story but Family and Friendships too. I place my Bauble in pride of place so that it is a constant reminder of this.

As you can see from the picture above, my nativity felt die cuts can actually tell the Christmas Story whereas my Bauble Kit just features the Holy Family.

School and Church groups often plan Advent activities around my Nativity Set. It gives them the opportunity to do a fun activity with the children whilst ensuring they also discuss the birth of Jesus and how all the feast days fit together.

The Bauble Kits on the other hand create heirloom decorations made by one generation to be passed onto the next. I just love stories of.. This was made by your Great Grandmother when she was 14 years old and lived in ....... She gave it to her daughter for her First Christmas in her New Home etc etc.. You just never forget a good family story like that!
